Lịch sử giải Ngoại hạng Anh

Giải bóng đá ngoại hạng Anh (tiếng Anh: The Football Association Premier League), có tên chính thức là Barclays English Premier League, là giải đấu cao nhất của các câu lạc bộ bóng đá Anh. Lần đầu tiên được tổ chức vào năm 1888 với tên gọi Giải bóng đá hạng nhất Anh (Football League First Division) và đội đoạt giải vô địch đầu tiên là câu lạc bộ Preston North End. Đến năm 1992, giải được đổi tên như hiện nay. Câu lạc bộ nhiều lần đoạt chức vô địch nhất là Liverpool, với 18 lần.
